Not all Companies have a Seniors and if they don&#8217;t the Company Section would cover this age range too and include the activities below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What do they do?<\/strong><br>Seniors take part in the Challenge Plus programme, which is made up of Projects and Challenges as follows &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Projects<\/strong><br>These include taster sessions that act as an introduction to a topic and are then followed by a longer project that is designed and led by the young people. Projects are grouped into 3 programme zones . . .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Life Skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recreation &amp; Leisure<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Challenges<\/strong><br>These are focussed on activities that could be completed by the group or as an individual ranging from &#8216;Climb a Munro&#8217; to &#8216;Review a local takeaway&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are also opportunities to work towards . . .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Duke of Edinburgh&#8217; Award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Young Volunteer Awards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>King&#8217;s Badge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s all about learning new skills, making your own decisions and having fun. BB provides a safe environment to explore new possibilities and achieve personal goals while making friends and having adventures. And it&#8217;s up to each young person to work out which opportunities are relevant for them, whether it&#8217;s sport&#8217;s officiating, fundraising or DIY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every young person should also expect . . .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To experience new challenges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be listened to and have a say<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be respected and valued<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have fun<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have the opportunity to develop a personal Christian faith<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What else do I need to know?<\/strong><br>Company Section have a special uniform that they can wear. As everyone wears the same thing they feel as though they belong. However nobody is excluded because they do not have the right clothes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How long do they meet for?<\/strong><br>The weekly section meeting would usually run for around 2 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And most importantly . . .opportunities for fun and enjoyment!!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who is it for?Seniors is for young people of school age S3 &#8211; S6, or equivalent if they&#8217;ve already left school.
